About Owner

Karen Kleker, M.A., CCC-SLP graduated from California State University of Long Beach with a Masters Degree in Communicative Disorders in 2007. She is currently licensed in the state of California through the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board. She is a member of the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and has achieved her certificate of clinical competence (CCC) through ASHA.  She has over 10 years of experience evaluating and conducting speech and language therapy with children who have Down’s syndrome, cleft palate, Autism, childhood apraxia, specific language disorders, tongue thrust, articulation disorders, and/or language disorders without a known cause. Her goal is to not only increase each child’s skills but also equip parents with activities they can perform at home that enhance their child’s language and speech skills. Karen has a passion to continue learning in order to ensure that each child receives the best therapy possible and has received two Awards for Continuing Education (ACE) from ASHA.  Some of her certifications/specialized trainings include but are not limited to the following: PROMPT level 2 (introduction and bridging), Hanen More Than Words, Hanen It Takes Two To Talk, and Social Thinking.
